Ari Harow (born 1973) is an American-born Israeli business leader and government advisor. He is the former Bureau Chief of Israeli Prime Minister and the current Chief of Staff Benjamin Netanyahu. ==Life and career== Ari Harow was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but moved with his family to Israel in 1985, at the age of 12 years. Following his schooling, he served in the Golani Brigade, an infantry unit in the Israel Defense Forces. Harow then returned to the United States in order to complete a psychology degree at the City University of New York. He completed his studies earning an MA in Political Science at Tel Aviv University before living in New York for three years. In 2007, Harow was appointed as foreign affairs advisor to Likud Party chairman Benjamin Netanyahu.
